Poetic Introduction
Never said the road would be easy
Anything fast and built to last
Sometimes life will do you greasy
I can tell by looking into my past
That don't stop the hustle, got to get this cash
Working my memory muscle, going into my lesson stash
Learned the lesson once, so you do not have to repeat it twice
Best thing I learned was that obedience is better than sacrifice
Indecision may come, but stay focused on the mission
Hell is hot, but I withstood the heat cause I stayed in the kitchen
Stay solid at all costs, don't ever start switching
You'll pay with your life, your final transition
Tips for the Journey
Live and die by your principles. (Whatever you believe in, prepare to uphold your beliefs.)
Never cross your own boundaries. (Set boundaries and don't go against them, not even for self.)
Obedience is better than sacrifice. (If you are obedient to your beliefs you won't lose. Anything not for your betterment is never a loss.)
Make a plan. Stick to the plan. Execute the plan. (create a purpose-based plan. Don't deter from the plan; once you accomplish goals, you are executing the plan.)
Your journey teaches you to grow and actively walk in your faith. In this walk, you should be a living demonstration of your beliefs. When you have faith, you survive what would have otherwise destroyed you.
Questions to Ask Yourself
What do you believe in?
Does it show in your life?
How big is your faith?
Has it shown in your journey?
If the answers were of indecision or just flat-out no, it's time to self-reflect. In reflection, you have the time to evaluate where you are in your journey. Your strengths, weaknesses, and where you can improve.
To Do
Create your set of beliefs (Write them down and implement them in your life)
Set boundaries that protect your goals, your time, and your sanity.
Do faith-building exercises (Read scriptures, pray, faith speech, volunteer opportunities)
Do these things consistently for two weeks to a month, then note the changes in your thinking, feeling, and doing.
Story of Woman
Time has beaten and battered me, but I kept my faith. Dealing with cycles of abuse, misuse, and mistruths. I stayed true, living in my truths. I kept close my values, and I spread all the love God placed in my heart, never showing defeat. I looked nothing like my life of horror, only of my blessing. That blessing was a faith bigger than life itself. It can't be explained or extinguished by anything set to destroy my joy. I put that joy into a gift that I shared with the world, lighting the same fir into those who got to witness it.
I am woman. I am strength. I am divine lineage to the God within me. I watched those with ill intent parish as their wicked ways sharpened my gifts. My faith grew stronger as their hold on me grew weaker. I am the story of triumph, the story of enduring. My will to live purposefully brought me to my greatest gift.....
FREEDOM!
I Am Free...
